A Novel Atmospheric Correction for Turbid Water Remote Sensing

نویسندگان

چکیده

For the remote sensing of turbid waters, atmospheric correction (AC) is a key issue. The “black pixel” assumption helps to solve AC for waters. It has proved be inaccurate regard all water pixels in SWIR (Short Wave Infrared) band as black pixels. necessary perform visible bands after removing radiation contributions band. Here, modified ACZI (m-ACZI) algorithm was developed. m-ACZI assumes spatial homogeneity aerosol types and employs BPI (Black Pixel Index) PIFs (Pseudo-Invariant Features) identify pixel”. Then, waters are removed complete results showed that had better performance than SeaDAS (SeaWiFS Data Analysis System) -SWIR EXP (exponential extrapolation) (sMAPE < 30.71%, RMSE 0.0111 sr−1) similar DSF (Dark Spectrum Fitting) floating algae suitable inland

Sensor Capability and Atmospheric Correction in Ocean Colour Remote Sensing

Accurate correction of the corrupting effects of the atmosphere and the water’s surface are essential in order to obtain the optical, biological and biogeochemical properties of the water from satellite-based multiand hyper-spectral sensors. The major challenges now for atmospheric correction are the conditions of turbid coastal and inland waters and areas in which there are strongly-absorbing ...

Water Column Correction for Coral Reef Studies by Remote Sensing

Human activity and natural climate trends constitute a major threat to coral reefs worldwide. Models predict a significant reduction in reef spatial extension together with a decline in biodiversity in the relatively near future. In this context, monitoring programs to detect changes in reef ecosystems are essential. In recent years, coral reef mapping using remote sensing data has benefited fr...

A simple and fast atmospheric correction for spaceborne remote sensing of surface temperature

Accurate surface temperature retrieval using thermal infrared observations from satellites is important for surface energy balance modeling; however it is difficult to achieve without proper correction for atmospheric effects. Typically the atmospheric correction is obtained from radiosonde profiles and a radiative transfer model (RTM). But rigorous RTM processing is impractical for routine con...
